Job summary

SCP Health - Locums seeks an Emergency Medicine physician for locum tenens coverage at Franciscan Health Crown Point in Crown Point, IN. The assignment runs from Sep 24, 2026 and is ongoing, with a mix of day, night, and weekend shifts to provide MD/DO coverage.

Requirements include BC/BE in EM, Indiana license, DEA with IN address, and active ACLS/ATLS/BLS/PALS. Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance are covered, with strong specialty backup and APP/NP/PA support.

Qualifications

• Board: BC/BE in Emergency Medicine (ABMS/AOA).
• Licenses: Active unrestricted IN Medical License, IN State Controlled Substance, DEA w/ IN address & schedules 2,2N,3,3N,4.
• DEA / CDS: Active DEA and IN State Controlled Substance required.
• Certifications: ACLS, ATLS, BLS, PALS (ATLS at least once).
• Experience: Completed EM residency required.
• Other Qualifications: CME Attestation, case logs for past 2 years.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive emergency medical care to patients of all ages in a moderate-to-high acuity setting.
• Supervise and collaborate with advanced practice providers and support staff in a team-based care model.
• Perform emergency procedures including moderate sedation as required.
• Work a mix of day, night, and weekend shifts to ensure 38 hours/day MD/DO coverage.
• Maintain accurate and timely medical records, comply with licensing and credentialing requirements, and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
