Job summary

Advocate Health's AMG Specialist Group: ED ASLMC in Milwaukee, Wisconsin seeks a Physician Assistant for Emergency Medicine. This full-time role offers 40 hours weekly with rotating day, overnight, weekend, and holiday shifts, and requires PA licensure and board certification.

The PA collaborates with physicians and other professionals, orders and interprets diagnostic tests, provides patient education, maintains EMR documentation, and participates in quality initiatives.

Qualifications

• Active PA license in state(s) of practice and national board certification.
• Active DEA registration prior to hire.
• If Illinois practice: IL Controlled Substance License prior to hire.
• BLS and/or ACLS, PALS, NRP as required within 6 months of hire.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Physician Assistant.

Responsibilities

• Assesses, diagnoses, and manages treatment plans appropriate for age and condition.
• Orders, performs, and interprets diagnostic studies; prescribes interventions.
• Provides health promotion and disease management counseling.
• Works within an interprofessional team and seeks referrals when needed.
• Maintains EMR documentation and compliant coding/billing.
• Facilitates coordinated care and clear communication across the team.
