Job summary

Emergency Care Specialists in Michigan is seeking a licensed Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join the ED team. You will interact with physicians, APPs, nurses, and other care providers to deliver timely evaluation, stabilization, treatment, and care coordination for ED patients.

The role emphasizes collaboration, rapid decision making, and documentation. A minimum of 2 years in emergency medicine, Michigan licensure, DEA, and ACLS are required; EM certification preferred for NP.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience in emergency medicine.
• Graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant program, or Nurse Practitioner program with an emergency medicine certification.
• NP applicants must have FNP w/ emergency medicine graduate certificate and/or compelling EM experience or PNP w/ compelling ED experience.
• Current licensure and/or registration with the State of Michigan.
• DEA licensure and ACLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Interact with ED physicians, APPs, nurses and other team members to ensure optimal patient care.
• Assess patients’ health and their demands, with aim of fulfilling them as well as possible.
• Acquire and review patient histories and monitor progress, documenting treatments.
• Prepare patients for examinations and conduct routine procedures.
• Collaborate effectively with team members of various specialties.
