Job summary

ECS WMI is seeking an experienced PA or EM NP to join our emergency medicine team. The role involves direct patient care in the ED, collaboration with physicians, APPs, and nurses to ensure rapid evaluation, stabilization, and treatment.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in emergency medicine, proper EM credentials, and current Michigan licensure. DEA and ACLS certification are required to support all encounters across age groups.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience in emergency medicine.
• A graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant program or NP program with an emergency medicine certification.
• NP applicants must have FNP with emergency medicine graduate certificate and/or EM experience.
• AGACNP or PNP-AC only certs are not accepted unless both are obtained.
• Current licensure/registration with the State of Michigan.
• DEA licensure and ACLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients’ health and demands with aim of fulfilling them as well as possible.
• Acquire and review patient histories.
• Monitor patients’ progress and document treatments and events.
• Prepare patients for examinations and conduct routine procedures.
• Cultivate a climate of trust and compassion for patients.
• Comply with medical care regulations and safety standards.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members.
