Our emergency medicine teams are empowered to lead care locally with the backing of a strong national network committed to clinical excellence, intentional leadership development, and collaborative partnership.

Here, you’ll practice alongside care teams that work seamlessly across Emergency Medicine, Hospital Medicine, and Critical Care—creating smoother transitions, stronger accountability, and better outcomes for the communities we serve.

If you’re looking for a place where your clinical judgment is valued, your growth is supported, and your work truly makes a difference, we’d love to talk.

We are building our EM Team at Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center in Washington, DC, with a start date of September 1, 2026.

We have Medical Director, Full-time, Part-time, and PRN MD/DO and APP positions available.

  • Work alongside our dedicated providers, committed to providing patient-centered care in collaboration with all stakeholders in a positive manner.
  • Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center is a 136-bed hospital in Southeast Washington, D.C. The Emergency Department has 32 beds dedicated to the Adult ER, with Children’s National Hospital staffing the pediatric emergency department.
  • Accountable, on-site leadership: a local medical director who knows the community and owns the department's performance, supported by Sound's leadership-development tools.
  • Stable, well-staffed teams: cohesive teams aligned on our patient-first culture of excellence, which means less reliance on premium temp labor and more predictable shifts.
Qualifications
  • Family nurse practitioner or emergency nurse practitioner, with a minimum of one (1) year of emergency medicine experience.
  • Certifications Required: ATLS, ACLS, and PALS.
  • Authorized to work in the United States.
  • This is not a new-grad opportunity.
Scheduling
  • 40 hours of Physician coverage and 24 hours of APP coverage daily.
  • The monthly workload for full-time positions is 120 hours, while part-time entails 80 hours per month.
Key Responsibilities
