Sound Physicians in Washington, DC is seeking an Emergency Medicine Physician Assistant for a nocturnist role at Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center. The position requires 1+ year of EM experience and current ATLS/ACLS/PALS certification.

You will join a 10 physician / 6 APP team delivering overnight coverage and patient-centered care in a hospital setting. This nocturnist opportunity provides 40 hours of physician coverage and 24 hours of APP coverage daily, with 120 monthly hours for full-time

Qualifications

• Physician assistant or emergency physician assistant with a minimum of one (1) year of emergency medicine experience.
• Certifications Required: ATLS, ACLS, and PALS.
• Authorized to work in the United States.

We are hiring for a nocturnist APP. Our nocturnist role requires working exclusively overnight shifts. Candidates must be comfortable with a nocturnist schedule and possess the ability to deliver exceptional patient care during nighttime hours.

Local Team Collaboration:

• Join our close-knit team of 10 physicians and 6 APPs at Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center.
• Work alongside our dedicated providers, committed to providing patient-centered care in collaboration with all stakeholders in a positive manner.
• Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center is a 136-bed hospital in Southeast Washington, D.C. The Emergency Department has 32 beds dedicated to the Adult ER, with Children’s National Hospital staffing the pediatric emergency department.
• Accountable, on-site leadership: a local medical director who knows the community and owns the department's performance, supported by Sound's leadership-development tools.
• Stable, well-staffed teams: cohesive teams aligned on our patient-first culture of excellence, which means less reliance on premium temp labor and more predictable shifts.

Scheduling:

• This is a nocturnist position.
• 40 hours of Physician coverage and 24 hours of APP coverage daily.
• The monthly workload for full-time positions is 120 hours, while part-time entails 80 hours per month.
