Mid-America Emergency Physicians is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for an on-site role across its Central Illinois facilities. You will perform thorough evaluations in the emergency department, order tests, and develop evidence-based treatment plans while coordinating with physicians and staff.

Competenze

• Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Illinois with national certification (e.g., FNP, ACNP, ENP, or PA-C).
• Demonstrated clinical competence in emergency or acute care, including assessment, differential diagnosis, and management of urgent and emergent conditions.
• Proficiency in ED procedures within scope (wound care, suturing, splinting, I&D, basic airway management).
• Strong communication, collaboration, and patient education skills; ability to explain diagnoses and treatment plans clearly.
• Proficiency with electronic health records and clinical decision support tools.

• Perform comprehensive evaluations of ED patients, including history and physical exams.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests and develop evidence-based treatment plans.
• Manage acute and urgent conditions; perform procedures within scope and prescribe medications.
• Coordinate care with physicians, nurses, and ancillary staff; document timely in EHR.
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and maintain patient flow in a fast-paced ED.
