US Acute Care Solutions seeks a medical director for Providence Health Center in Waco, TX. The role oversees ED operations, collaborates with nursing leadership and hospital administration, and leads physicians and APPs within the department.

Responsibilities include representing the ED in the community and hospital medical staff, and guiding clinical governance and strategic initiatives under USACS’ shared-ownership model.

Hospital Details

Located on the southwest side of Waco near the intersection of Highway 84 and Highway 6, Providence Health Center is a 237-bed acute-care hospital. This facility--the first hospital in Waco--is the centerpiece of an expansive campus that includes an Ambulatory Services Building for outpatient procedures and the MRI Center at Providence; Providence Medical Plaza, a professional office building; and Providence Clinic-Family Medicine Center, a primary care facility.

• Admission Rate: 18%
• Staffing Model: 9- or 10-hour shifts
  • 50-60 hours Physician coverage per day
  • 30-40 hours of APP coverage per day

As a medical director at USACS, you will be responsible for collaborating with the hospital and nursing leadership while supporting and leading your Physicians and APPs. You will serve as a leader both within the emergency department and across the organization.
