Job summary

US Acute Care Solutions is seeking an Emergency Physician to lead and grow a freestanding ED transitioning into a community hospital in Coastal Virginia. You will oversee ED operations, collaborate with nursing leadership and hospital administration, and represent the ED within the medical staff and community.

This was a Freestanding Emergency Department that is transitioning into a growing community hospital

Emergency Department

ED Volume: 20,000

• ED Beds: 16-bed main ED; 3-bed Fast Track; 2-bed hall
• 13 private rooms; 2 hall rooms
• ED Admission Rate: 5%
• EMR: Epic
• No interventional cath lab
• Stroke Center
• Dedicated transport if needed
• Specialties available (uses Maryview’s On-Call/In-House Panel):
• Radiology (remote)
• CT (24/7)
• MRI (24/7)
• Adult Hospitalists
• Ultrasound (24/7)
• Neurology (24/7 Tele-Neurology)
• Ortho
• Radiation Oncology
• Anesthesiology (24/7)
• General Surgery
• Urology (NP for inpatient consults, surgery to transfer to MMC)
• Psychiatry (24/7 Telepsychiatry)
