Job summary

University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus Department of Emergency Medicine seeks an Associate Vice Chair for Education (AVC-E). This academic physician educator will provide strategic leadership across undergraduate to faculty development programs, advancing education strategies, simulation, AI tools, and results through data-driven metrics.

The AVC-E partners with DEM leadership to strengthen education and accelerate transitions in residency leadership.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree required and board-certified in Emergency Medicine.
• Unrestricted Colorado medical license and academic appointment at Associate Professor/Professor expected.
• Demonstrated leadership in medical education and education scholarship.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the DEM Education strategy and set tactics with accountability metrics.
• Provide input into strategic leadership for the education portfolio and translate priorities into measurable goals.
• Promote optimal allocation of education resources and advise on budgets and programs.
• Lead educational innovation with emerging technologies and data-driven solutions.
