Qualifications

• Medical Doctor or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine.
• Board certification/Board eligible in Emergency Medicine.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in medical education leadership.
• Track record of scholarship: publications in peer review journals, presentations at conferences.

Responsibilities

• Set educational strategy for the Department of Emergency Medicine in collaboration with education team.
• Measure progress and report goals to Department leadership.
• Provide annual summary of educational activities to the Department Chair.
• Oversee regulatory compliance with LCME/ACGME for educational programs.
• Assist with annual budget preparation for education.
• Develop a Grand Rounds program and publicize it to the institution.
• Monitor faculty performance in education and provide feedback.
• Participate in faculty recruitment and attend VC of Education meetings.
