Job summary

Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center in Hershey, PA offers a Medical Education Fellowship in Emergency Medicine.

This part-time clinical fellowship provides attending-level shifts in our busy ED serving a large, diverse patient population. You will teach and supervise EM residents, medical students, and APPs, work with educational leadership to run undergraduate and graduate medical education programs, and participate in didactics and our simulation lab.

Qualifications

  • MD, DO, or foreign equivalent
  • Completion of accredited Emergency Medicine Residency
  • BC/BE Emergency Medicine
  • Ability to obtain Pennsylvania medical license

Responsibilities

  • Teach and supervise learners including EM residents, off-service rotating residents, medical students, APPs and APP Fellows
  • Work with educational leadership team to learn how to run programs in undergraduate and graduate medical education
  • Teaching opportunities in large-group didactics, small group facilitations and our simulation lab
  • Internal and external training opportunities to expand educational skills
  • Ability to earn a Master's in Education or a Certificate in Education through PSU World Campus

Job description

Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center proudly offers a Medical Education Fellowship located in Hershey, PA. This remarkable Fellowship will significantly impact future career opportunities in Emergency Medicine.

We offer:
  • Work part time ~8 shifts/mo. as an attending in the emergency department of our tertiary-care hospital for 15 counties and highly diverse patient population.
  • Teach and supervise learners including EM residents, off-service rotating residents, medical students, APPs and APP Fellows.
  • Work with our educational leadership team to learn how to run programs in undergraduate and graduate medical education.
  • Teaching opportunities in large-group didactics, small group facilitations and our 10,000 square foot simulation lab.
  • Internal and external training opportunities to expand your educational skills.
  • Ability to earn a Master's in Education (in 2 years) or a Certificate in Education (in 1 year) through PSU World Campus.
Requirements:
