Job summary

University of Cincinnati College of Medicine seeks a full‑time Clinical Research Manager in the Department of Emergency Medicine to plan, participate and evaluate multi‑faceted clinical research programs. This hybrid role collaborates with the director, staff, and PI to ensure protocol adherence and data integrity.

The position emphasizes overseeing study implementation, regulatory compliance, budget development, and risk mitigation, with leadership responsibilities for the clinical research

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required; Nine (9) years of relevant work experience can be used in lieu of education requirement.
• Five (5) years related experience required.
• Experience in an academic or clinical setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee implementation of clinical research studies per SOPs, GCP, and FDA regs; manage contracts and budgeting.
• Collaborate daily with director, staff and PI to ensure protocol requirements are met.
• Coordinate with IRB and regulatory offices; ensure financial accounting and budget reconciliation.
• Provide daily supervision to clinical research staff to maximize enrollment and data quality.
• Identify compliance, legal, IP and business/financial risks and mitigate them.
• Support departmental improvements and risk mitigation with physicians and departments.
