Job summary

Capital Health in New Jersey seeks an Associate Medical Director to lead our Emergency Department sites while maintaining an active clinical practice. You will partner with nursing and admin leadership to standardize practice and improve patient throughput, quality of care, and provider scheduling across three ED sites.

The role requires an MD/DO with ABEM or AOBEM board certification and at least three years of post-residency ED experience.

Qualifications

• MD/DO Degree. Board certification in Emergency Medicine (ABEM or AOBEM).
• Minimum of three years of post-residency clinical experience as an Emergency Department physician.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct emergency medical care, including examination, diagnosis, tests, treatment, and disposition.
• Oversee physician and advanced practice provider operations and schedules across three ED sites.
• Improve patient throughput, door-to-provider time, LOS, LWBS, boarding, admissions, and discharges.
• Lead quality metrics, peer review, case reviews, and patient safety follow-up.
