Job summary

West Virginia University Health System seeks a full-time Advanced Practice Professional (APP) to join the Emergency Medicine team at United Hospital Center in Bridgeport, WV. The APP will provide patient-centered care, collaborate with physicians, and manage urgent care/emergency medicine cases within the scope of practice.

Required certifications include BLS, ACLS, ATLS, with FCCS required upon hire. 1+ year acute care experience preferred; new graduates considered.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Eligible for licensure as a PA in West Virginia.
• ACLS/BLs certifications and FCCS preferred or required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Manages comprehensive care for urgent care/emergency patients in ambulatory settings.
• Performs assessments, orders tests, and coordinates follow-up care.
• Collaborates with physicians and health care teams to develop plans of care.
• Document care plans and outcomes clearly in medical records per policy.
• Educates residents, students, and staff; participates in committee work.
