Job summary

MUSC Health is seeking a PA or APRN to join the Emergency Medicine team in the Adult EDs at the Main University Hospital and Ashley River Tower. The position is PRN with 10-hour shifts, including nights and weekends, at an hourly pay rate.

Qualified candidates will have completed an accredited PA or APRN program and hold or be eligible for licensure. Strong clinical skills in ED evaluation, management, and patient safety are required.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program and currently licensed or eligible for licensure as a Physician Assistant.
• Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program and currently licensed or eligible for licensure as an APRN.

Responsibilities

• Takes comprehensive history and performs physical examinations.
• Evaluates and treats based on history, exam, and diagnostic results per scope of practice.
• Documents and bills for direct care provided; participates in quality and research activities.
• Precepts students and supports continuing education for staff.
