Job summary

HMFP/APHMFP is recruiting an Advanced Health Practitioner (Physician Assistant) to provide direct ED care under physician supervision in a busy emergency department affiliated with Longwood Specialty Physicians. The role emphasizes patient assessment, diagnosis, and therapeutic management for all ages.

The position requires MA PA licensure, BLS, and prescriptive authority, with ACLS/PALS preferred. Competitive pay and benefits within a large multispecialty system are offered.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Physician Assistant.
• Massachusetts state licensure.
• MA Board authorization to practice licensure.
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• ACLS and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) preferred.
• Prescriptive authority from MA DPH-DCP and DEA required.
• Experience in Emergency Department or Urgent Care.
• Competency in care for patients of all ages.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care including physical diagnosis and therapeutic management in the Emergency Department under physician supervision.
• Support physicians and collaborate with ED team to ensure timely evaluation and treatment.
• Contribute to patient flow and comfort during high-volume shifts.
