Brown University Health seeks an Advanced Practice Provider to practice emergency medicine in the Emergency Department. Under the supervision of the Medical Director, the APP will obtain histories, perform examinations, order and interpret tests, and develop treatment plans for ED patients, including procedures.

Requirements include a Master’s in PA Studies or an NP graduate degree, NCCPA or NP certification, RI licensure, DEA/CSR, and at least 1 year of ED APP experience.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience as an Advanced Practice Provider (APP)
• NCCPA certification or NP national board certification
• Current Rhode Island APP licensure and DEA/CSR or ability to obtain before start date

Responsabilités

• Obtain medical histories and perform physical examinations.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests to establish diagnoses.
• Develop and implement ED treatment plans for patients.
• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic emergency medicine procedures under supervision.
