Job summary

WVU Medicine seeks an Advanced Practice Provider (PA or NP) to practice in the Emergency Medicine setting at Princeton Community Hospital in Princeton, West Virginia. The role is full-time and involves comprehensive outpatient care and preventive health services in an emergency medicine capacity.

Candidates must hold a PA or NP degree and be eligible for state licensure; NP needs Master’s in Nursing with CNOR preferred, PA requires ARC-PA and NCCPA credentials.

Qualifications

• Nurse Practitioner requires Master’s in Nursing, CNOR, and PA/NP licensure eligibility in PA.
• Physician Assistant requires ARC-PA accredited PA program, NCCPA certification, and PA licensure eligibility.
• BLS certification withALS training as required by department.

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency medicine outpatient clinical care and preventive health services.
• Practice in Emergency Medicine across multiple sites affiliated with WVU Health System.

WVUHS and the Department of Emergency Medicine seeks an Advanced Practice Provider (PA or NP) to practice at Princeton Community Hospital.

This position is full-time.

Duties

The successful candidate will practice in the areas of Emergency Medicine. In addition to providing comprehensive outpatient clinical care to patients in an emergency medicine capacity and establish preventive health practices for patients.

Qualifications

Candidate must have a PA or NP degree and be eligible for state medical license. All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.

Minimum Qualifications for Nurse Practitioner

Education, Certification, and/or Licensure

• Graduate of a CCNE accredited nursing program with Master’s Degree in Nursing.
• National Certification by one of the recognized APRN Certification Centers.
• Licensure, or eligibility for licensure, as a professional Registered Nurse and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania.
• CNOR Certification required.
• BLS Certification required with additional Advanced Life Support training at the discretion of the department.

Experience

• Emergency medicine/ Urgent care experience preferred.
• Eligible new graduates will be considered.

Minimum Qualifications for Physician Assistant

Education, Certification, and/or Licensure

• Bachelor’s Degree as Physician Assistant, or Master’s Degree as Physician Assistant required.
• Graduate of an ARC-PA approved Physician Assistant (PA) training program required.
• Certification by the National Commission for Certification of Physician Assistants required.
• Must be licensed or eligible for licensure by the PA Board of Medicine.
• BLS Certification required with additional Advanced Life Support training at the discretion of the department.

Experience

• Emergency Medicine/ Urgent care experience preferred.
• Eligible new graduates will be considered.
