Job summary

Covenant Health EMS is seeking an EMT for PRN/Occasional shifts in Tennessee. The EMT responds to emergencies, performs triage and initial patient assessment, and provides pre-hospital care within scope as approved by the EMS Medical Director.

Requires Tennessee EMS license (or valid compact-state license) and a valid driver's license with appropriate insurance. Local travel is required and adherence to Covenant Health policies is essential.

Qualifications

• Two years EMS or healthcare experience preferred.
• TN EMS license or valid compact-state license required.
• Valid driver’s license and state minimum insurance.
• Driving record must meet Covenant Health standards.

Responsibilities

• Administer epinephrine for anaphylaxis and provide airway management per BIAD when approved.
• Render emergency care for acute illness or injury and traumatic events.
• Report patient information and treatment to receiving medical personnel.
• Coordinate EMS communications with dispatchers and facilities.
• Perform routine vehicle maintenance and restock/clean after calls.
• Adhere to Covenant Health EMS dress code.
• Complete covenant Health training and EMS in-service requirements.
• Local travel is required.
• Follow policies and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
