Responsibilities

The Emergency Medical Technician is responsible for assessing and managing medical, trauma, and environmental emergencies under supervision. Assists with patient care based on individual needs within scope of practice, maintaining a safe environment under the supervision of the ED RN or Charge Nurse.

Qualifications

Education, Experience, Training

• High School Diploma or Equivalent or related experience required for new hires effective April 2014.
• Basic EMT Training or ER experience required.
• Current BLS certification upon hire and maintained current.

Facility Specific Requirements

• Current ACLS certification within 30 days of hire and maintained current.
• Current PALS certification within 30 days of hire and maintained current.
• Certified/Licensed EMT by the state certifying agency required.

Compensation for this role is approximately $27.35/hour, with the exact offer based on experience, skills, education, and credentials.
