Job summary

LifeCare Ambulance - Memphis/Mississippi is seeking an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)-Basic to join our team in Memphis, Tennessee. You will provide basic emergency and non-emergency paramedical care, responding to calls and transporting patients to medical facilities.

The role requires TN EMT-B licensure, 18+ years old, a high school diploma or GED, a valid F endorsement driver’s license, and current CPR. A background check is required, and the ability to lift 100+ lbs is expected.

Qualifications

• Must be EMT-B licensed in Tennessee.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• TN EMT-B licensure required.
• Valid Driver’s License with an F endorsement.
• Current CPR card.
• Consent to a criminal background check.
• Ability to lift/push/pull 100+ lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic emergency and non-emergency paramedical care to the ill and injured
• Respond to emergency calls, performing medical services and transporting patients to medical facilities
• Continue to give care as necessary during the transport of the patient to the hospital
• Maintain composure in extremely stressful situations and assess medical situations to perform emergency lifesaving procedures
• Safely transfer patients onto and lift and carry stretchers into the ambulance

As an EMT, you will provide basic emergency and non-emergency paramedical care to the ill and injured, responding to emergency calls and transporting patients to medical facilities.

• Respond to emergency calls, performing medical services and transporting patients to medical facilities

Requirements

• Skills and experience incumbent to function with proficiency at the BLS level of service

• Must be 18 years of age or older

• High School Diploma or GED

• Tennessee Licensure as Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)-Basic

• Valid Driver’s License with an F endorsement and with a good driving record

• Current CPR card

• Consent to a criminal background check

• Ability to lift/push/pull at least 100+ lbs.
