Job summary

CORE Occupational Medicine in Ramsey, IL is seeking an experienced Emergency Medical Technician (EMT-B) or Paramedic to join our on-site team on a PRN basis. The role focuses on responding to emergencies, providing basic medical care, and coordinating with on-site personnel and medical facilities.

The position requires EMT/paramedic certification, prior field experience, and current First Aid/CPR/AED credentials.

Qualifications

• EMT or paramedic state certification is required.
• Prior EMT/paramedic experience or 911 response experience preferred.
• Current First Aid/CPR/AED certification.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Responding to emergencies efficiently and promptly.
• Administering basic first aid and medical support to patients, in accordance with policy and regulations.
• Assessing the nature and extent of injuries/illnesses to prioritize medical procedures.
• Communicating with medical professionals and treatment facilities for further instructions.
• Communicating with client and site personnel regarding incidents and hazards.
• Demonstrating teamwork and understanding the importance of coordinated efforts.
• Being cognizant of changing worksite environments and hazards.
• Ensuring quality, clinical standards are practiced at all times.
• Documenting findings and treatments clearly and concisely.
• Maintaining professionalism under stress and supporting site safety.
• Assisting Site Safety Managers in maintaining a safe work environment.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responding to emergencies efficiently and promptly
• Administering basic first aid and medical support to patients, in accordance with federal, state, local and company policy and regulations
• Assessing the nature and extent of injuries/illnesses to prioritize medical procedures
• Effectively communicating with medical professionals and treatment facilities to obtain instructions regarding further action
• Effectively communicating with client and site personnel regarding any worksite incidents, hazards, etc.
• Demonstrating a strong orientation towards team work and the ability to understand the importance of team coordinated efforts
• Demonstrating a strong ability to be cognizant of the constantly changing worksite environment and construction site hazards
• Ensuring that quality, clinical standards are practiced at all times
• Documenting all findings and treatments clearly and concisely
• Conducting oneself in a helpful, dignified and professional manner regardless of stress level and personal circumstances
• Assisting the Site Safety Managers and Personnel in maintaining the most safe and secure work environment possible

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

• EMT or paramedic state certification required
• Previous EMT or paramedic experience, 1st response experience or emergency 911 experience preferred
• Current First Aid/CPR/AED certification; Any additional certifications are a plus
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with client and employees
