Job summary

CORE Occupational Medicine is seeking an experienced EMT-B to join our Gainesville, VA site. This full-time/PRN role offers a comprehensive benefits package and competitive compensation.

You will respond to emergencies, administer basic first aid, assess injuries, and coordinate with medical staff and site personnel to ensure timely and appropriate care. Qualified candidates hold EMT certification (state or National Registry), current First Aid/CPR/AED, and have 911 or first response experience

Qualifications

• EMT state certification or National Registry; must provide proof of reciprocity.
• 1st response or 911 experience preferred.
• Current First Aid/CPR/AED certification mandatory.
• Strong interpersonal skills for client/employee relations.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergencies quickly and efficiently.
• Provide basic first aid and medical support per policy and regulations.
• Assess injuries/illnesses to prioritize care.
• Communicate with medical staff and facilities for further actions.
• Coordinate with site personnel on incidents and hazards.
• Maintain quality clinical standards at all times.
• Document findings and treatments clearly and concisely.
• Support Site Safety Managers to maintain a safe work environment.

Position Responsibilities

• Responding to emergencies efficiently and promptly
• Administering basic first aid and medical support to patients, in accordance with federal, state, local and company policy and regulations
• Assessing the nature and extent of injuries/illnesses to prioritize medical procedures
• Effectively communicating with medical professionals and treatment facilities to obtain instructions regarding further action
• Effectively communicating with client and site personnel regarding any worksite incidents, hazards, etc.
• Demonstrating a strong orientation towards team work and the ability to understand the importance of team coordinated efforts
• Demonstrating a strong ability to be cognizant of the constantly changing worksite environment and construction site hazards
• Ensuring that quality, clinical standards are practiced at all times
• Documenting all findings and treatments clearly and concisely
• Conducting oneself in a helpful, dignified and professional manner regardless of stress level and personal circumstances
• Assisting the Site Safety Managers and Personnel in maintaining the most safe and secure work environment possible

Position Qualifications

• EMT State Certification and/or National Registry; Must provide proof of reciprocity
• Previous EMT experience, 1st response experience or emergency 911 experience preferred
• Current First Aid/CPR/AED certification; Any additional certifications are a plus
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with client and employees
