Job summary

Ambulnz NJ, LLC is seeking an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) for West Berlin, NJ. This full-time role offers 12-hour shifts, day and night options, with a competitive hourly pay range and overtime opportunities.

Qualifications

• NJ EMT State Certification or NREMT (minimum).
• Valid Driver's License for a minimum of 2 years.
• Acceptable driving record.
• Valid CPR Card for Health Care Provider.
• Must be able to lift, push and pull 125 lbs. or more.
• Successfully complete Physical Aptitude Test.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with fellow EMTs and management to assure top-tier patient care.
• Shift schedule may vary due to 24-hour operation of emergency services.
• Remain up to date with current standards of care, equipment functions, and all certifications.
• Interact courteously and professionally with patients, coworkers, supervisors, and the public.
• Recognize and treat medical conditions using appropriate techniques and state/county protocols.
• Provide top-tier medical transport to facilities and follow established policies.
• Operate and drive the ambulance in compliance with safety policies and laws.
• Maintain rig cleanliness and organize equipment space.
• Gather patient billing information and obtain signatures.
• Prepare and submit pre-hospital patient care reports.
• Respond promptly to Dispatch Center assignments.
• Exhibit excellent verbal communication skills.
• Perform other duties as required.

Education

NJ EMT State Certification or NREMT

Valid Driver's License (2+ years)

Pay Rate Range: $22.50 - $29.50 per hour, based on experience

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with your fellow EMTs and management to assure top tier patient care.


• Be flexible as emergency services operate on a 24-hour clock - your work shift schedule may vary due to the nature of the business.


• Remain up to date with current standards of care, including equipment functions and uses and all certifications, licenses and registrations.


• Conduct yourself in a courteous, helpful, and professional manner when dealing with patients, co-workers, supervisors, and the public.


• Recognize and treat any medical condition with appropriate techniques, equipment, and knowledge of all State and County protocols.


• Provide top tier medical transport to medical facilities by assuming responsibilities for medical care of the patient and carrying out established policies and procedures.


• Operate and drive the ambulance in accordance with safety policies and laws, showing due regard for all applicable State and Regional Regulations (DMV & DOH)


• Maintain rig cleanliness by stocking the rigs and taking ownership of your space.


• Gather patient billing information and appropriate billing signatures.


• Prepare and submit a pre-hospital patient care report.


• Respond promptly to assignments as required by the Dispatch Center.


• Excellent verbal communication skills.


• Perform other duties as required/assigned.
