Southern California Hospitals is seeking an Emergency Medical Technician to support care in the Emergency Department. Responsibilities include EKGs, splinting, vital signs, patient safety, and assisting with supplies and clerical tasks.

Required: EMT certification, AHA BLS, High School diploma, English proficiency, and prior patient care experience. Preferred: 1 year acute care, SAMA certification, and bilingual skills.

Qualificações

• EMT certification and BLS required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Demonstrated prior patient care experience.
• English reading and writing communication required.
• De-escalation certification on hire; SAMA certification on recertification.
• Hospital Fire and Life Safety Card (LA City Employees only).
• Bilingual skills preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Accurately measures and records patient weights and vital signs.
• Assists with hygiene, ADL and patient privacy while maintaining infection control.
• Assists licensed nurse with EKGs, splinting, wound care and transport.
• Manages equipment inventory and maintains PAR levels.
• Maintains a clean and safe environment and documents activities.
