Job summary

Adventist Health Tillamook is seeking an EMT/Technician to assist in direct and indirect patient care under supervision. The role focuses on developing individualized care plans and serving as a clinical resource for students and new staff.

Qualifications

• AHA BLS Healthcare Provider or equivalent required in OR.

• EMT or National Emergency Medical Tech (NEMT) required.
• Driver's License (DL) required.

Responsibilities

• Provides individualized care plan for patient presentation within the EMT scope of practice.
• Collects, records and communicates basic patient data and status.
• Cleans, inspects, assembles and sterilizes trays and equipment per procedures.
• Takes action during emergency situations per job description and policies.
• Participates in continuing/advanced education to improve capabilities.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

Assists in providing direct, and in-direct patient care under direction of appropriate personnel or leadership (e.g. registered nurses and providers). Provides individualized care plan for patient presentation. Acts as a clinical resource for students, those being oriented and volunteers.

Job Requirements

Education and Work Experience:

• High School Education/GED or equivalent: Required

Licenses/Certifications

• Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Certification: Required
• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required
• Valid Oregon EMT License: Required in OR (National Registry Preferred)
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider or equivalent from approved vendor per AH policy: Required in OR
• NAEMT PHTLS or equivalent within 6 months: Required in OR

• Participates in continuing/advanced education which demonstrates employee commitment to improving capabilities.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
