Cedar Crest Village by Erickson Senior Living in Pompton Plains, New Jersey is hiring an EMT/EMR for our Security & Emergency Services team at a premier senior living community. You’ll help keep residents safe, respond to medical calls, patrol the property, and participate in ongoing safety initiatives while building meaningful connections with residents and coworkers.

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
• Prior Security or EMS experience preferred.
• Current CPR for Healthcare Providers certification.
• Current EMR certification; higher certification acceptable; must obtain EMR within 30 days.

Responsabilidades

• Patrol the property, relieve gatehouse staff, and respond to emergency and routine calls.
• Enforce traffic and parking regulations.
• Respond to dispatch and security calls.
• Provide medical care during emergencies with basic interventions.
• Investigate missing items, theft or vandalism reports.
• Coordinate with local police, fire, and EMS during emergencies.
• Complete incident reports in the online system.

Join our Security & Emergency Services team as an EMT or EMR at our gated senior living community!

Put your emergency medical skills to work in a rewarding environment where you’ll provide compassionate support, promote resident safety and well-being, and build meaningful connections with the people you serve - all without the demands of ambulance transport.

Current Full Time schedules are 7:00am - 7:00pm OR 7:00pm-7:00am

Per Diem/Part Time roles available as well!

Valid Drivers License is required

How you will make an impact

• Perform regular patrols of the property, provide relief staffing for the gatehouse, and respond to emergency and routine calls for service
• Enforce all traffic and parking regulations
• Respond to calls for service from dispatch and security
• Respond to medical emergencies and provide efficient care utilizing all basic interventions
• Follow up on reports of missing items, theft, vandalism, and other potential criminal activity
• Utilize local police, fire, and EMS; effectively during emergencies.
• Complete thorough and detailed incident reports using our online report system

What you will need

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Possess and maintain a valid driver's license
• Prior experience in Security and/or Emergency Medical Services is preferred
• Proactive, vigilant and detail-oriented approaches with a strong commitment to quality, efficiency and effectiveness
• Current CPR for Healthcare Providers certification
• Current Emergency Medical Responder certification. (Higher level certification/licensure is acceptable as a condition of hire, however, new hires will be required to obtain EMR certification within 30 days).

Compensation: $19.75-$24.00/hour
