Job summary

Cedar Crest Village by Erickson Senior Living in Pompton Plains, NJ, is seeking an EMT/EMR to join our Security & Emergency Services team. You’ll patrol the property, support gatehouse staffing, respond to medical and security calls, and document incidents with our online system.

This full-time role requires a valid driver’s license, CPR for Healthcare Providers, EMR (or higher) certification, and a commitment to resident safety and compassionate care in a vibrant continuing care community.

Qualifications

• EMT/EMR experience is preferred.
• Must hold a valid driver’s license.
• Current CPR for Healthcare Providers certification.
• EMR certification or higher is acceptable; new hires must obtain EMR within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular patrols of the property and provide relief staffing for the gatehouse.
• Respond to emergency and routine calls for service and enforce traffic and parking regulations.
• Respond to medical emergencies and provide efficient care using basic interventions.
• Complete thorough incident reports using the online report system.
• Assist with security and safety operations and coordinate with local police, fire, and EMS when needed.

Join our Security & Emergency Services team as an EMT or EMR at our gated senior living community!

Current Full Time schedules are 7:00am - 7:00pm OR 7:00pm-7:00am

Per Diem/Part Time roles available as well!

Valid Drivers License is required

How you will make an impact

• Perform regular patrols of the property, provide relief staffing for the gatehouse, and respond to emergency and routine calls for service
• Enforce all traffic and parking regulations
• Respond to calls for service from dispatch and security
• Respond to medical emergencies and provide efficient care utilizing all basic interventions
• Follow up on reports of missing items, theft, vandalism, and other potential criminal activity
• Utilize local police, fire, and EMS; effectively during emergencies.
• Complete thorough and detailed incident reports using our online report system

What you will need

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Possess and maintain a valid driver's license
• Prior experience in Security and/or Emergency Medical Services is preferred
• Proactive, vigilant and detail-oriented approaches with a strong commitment to quality, efficiency and effectiveness
• Current CPR for Healthcare Providers certification
• Current Emergency Medical Responder certification. (Higher level certification/licensure is acceptable as a condition of hire, however, new hires will be required to obtain EMR certification within 30 days).

Compensation: $19.75-$24.00/hour
