Job summary

Cedar Crest Village by Erickson Senior Living in Pompton Plains, New Jersey, is seeking dedicated personnel for Security & Emergency Services as EMT/EMR. You’ll patrol the property, assist at the gate, and respond to emergencies with basic medical care, supporting resident safety and well-being in a gated community.

Ideal candidates have EMT/EMR credentials (or willingness to obtain), a valid driver’s license, and CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Experience in Security and/or Emergency Medical Services preferred.
• CPR for Healthcare Providers certification required or in progress.
• Emergency Medical Responder certification required or obtainable within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular patrols of the property and provide relief staffing for the gatehouse.
• Respond to emergency and routine calls for service and enforce traffic/parking regulations.
• Respond to medical emergencies and provide basic interventions.
• Collaborate with local police, fire, and EMS during emergencies.
• Complete detailed incident reports using the online system.

Join our Security & Emergency Services team as an EMT or EMR at our gated senior living community!

Put your emergency medical skills to work in a rewarding environment where you’ll provide compassionate support, promote resident safety and well-being, and build meaningful connections with the people you serve - all without the demands of ambulance transport.

Current Full Time schedules are 7:00am - 7:00pm OR 7:00pm-7:00am

Per Diem/Part Time roles available as well!

Valid Drivers License is required

How you will make an impact

• Perform regular patrols of the property, provide relief staffing for the gatehouse, and respond to emergency and routine calls for service
• Enforce all traffic and parking regulations
• Respond to calls for service from dispatch and security
• Respond to medical emergencies and provide efficient care utilizing all basic interventions
• Follow up on reports of missing items, theft, vandalism, and other potential criminal activity
• Utilize local police, fire, and EMS; effectively during emergencies.
• Complete thorough and detailed incident reports using our online report system

What you will need

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Possess and maintain a valid driver's license
• Prior experience in Security and/or Emergency Medical Services is preferred
• Proactive, vigilant and detail-oriented approaches with a strong commitment to quality, efficiency and effectiveness
• Current CPR for Healthcare Providers certification
• Current Emergency Medical Responder certification. (Higher level certification/licensure is acceptable as a condition of hire, however, new hires will be required to obtain EMR certification within 30 days).

Compensation: $19.75-$24.00/hour
