Job Description

The Emergency Medical Technician-PCP is responsible for responding to emergency and non-emergent calls for service, providing initial assessment, treatment, and transport of ill or injured persons.

Qualifications

• Primary Care Paramedic diploma (PCP)
• Health Care Provider Level C Certificate (HCP-C)
• Registered Paramedic (2011 National Occupational Competency Profile standards)
• Valid Class 4 driver's license
• International Trauma Life Support Certificate (ITLS)
• Basic Life Support Instructor Certificate (BLS)

Additional Information

• Located approximately 94 km south of Saskatoon
• Preference for HSAS members as per the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement
• Must respond to ambulance calls within 10 minutes when on-call

• Must be available a minimum of 24 hours per 3 weeks, including all shifts, short notice calls, holidays
