WGNSTAR, a growing ABM company, seeks a safety-focused professional to lead emergency response operations in Boise, ID. The role involves directing teams during medical, chemical, and rescue events, ensuring PPE and chemical handling protocol compliance, and conducting routine safety audits.

Pay rate is $25.00 per hour with full‑time schedules (Mon-Fri, 8:00am‑5:00pm). Benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, and 401(k).

• Leads emergency response operations as ERT Captain, directing teams during medical, chemical, gas, HAZMAT, and rescue events.
• Ensures compliance with safety protocols including PPE, Lockout/Tagout, and chemical handling procedures.
• Conducts routine safety audits, inspections, and hazard prevention checks.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Responds immediately to emergencies, including medical incidents, hazardous material events, and other safety‑related situations.
• Leads emergency response operations as ERT Captain, directing teams during medical, chemical, gas, HAZMAT, and rescue events.
• Ensures strict compliance with safety protocols such as PPE requirements, Lockout/Tagout (CoHE), and chemical handling procedures.
• Conducts routine safety audits, inspections, and hazard‑prevention checks to support a safer and more efficient workplace.
• Completes and reviews Job Hazard Analyses (JHA/JSA) and communicates shift updates to keep cross‑functional teams aligned.

Requirements

• Supports safety projects and cost‑reduction initiatives through data analysis and preventive maintenance activities.
• Utilizes Microsoft Office applications to complete documentation, reporting, and communication tasks efficiently.
• Able to obtain certifications in SCBA, SKA, APR respiratory protection, HAZMAT response, and confined space/high‑angle rescue.
• Have a current EMT certification.

Physical Effort/Activities

May be required to walk up to 5+miles per day, able to be on feet for 8-10 hrs at a time, able tobend, twist, push/pull, crouch, kneel in confined spaces, work at heights, on a ladder, and lift up to 50-75 pounds. The physical demands described above are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
