UNM Hospital in Albuquerque is seeking a Patient Care Assistant to assist in nursing procedures, provide wound care, and maintain a safe, clean environment for patients across age groups. You will stock patient care areas and ensure adherence to hospital policies and procedures, supporting the nursing staff and physicians in daily tasks.
The role requires a High School or GED, at least 6 months of related experience, CPR/BLS certification, and an EMT Basic license.
Additional $6.00/hr. Safety Incentive Pay

Receive 17% Weekday Nights, 26% Weekend Nights and 15% Weekend Day shift differentials
Compensation for this role is based on a number of factors, including but not limited to experience, education, and other business and organizational considerations.

Assist in the nursing care of patients. Provides wound care and splints as required. Provide a safe, clean environment and stocks patient care areas. Ensures adherence to Hospitals and departmental policies and procedures. Patient care assignment may include Neonate, Pediatric, Adolescent, Adult and Geriatric age groups.
1/2 year (6 months) directly related experience
Bilingual English/Keres, Tewa, Tiwa, Towa, Zuni, or Navajo Bilingual English/Spanish
Heavy Work: Exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects or people. Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Medium Work.
