Job summary

Cadiz, KY EMS agency is seeking an Emergency Medical Tech Advanced to provide pre-hospital care and transport for patients of all ages.

The role includes driving an ambulance, coordinating with dispatch and families, maintaining equipment, and performing advanced life support procedures with proper documentation.

Qualifications

• Kentucky Certified Emergency Medical Technician.
• Valid Driver's License.
• BLS with AED Certification.
• Incident Command System – NIMS 100, 200, 700, 800 completed within 60 days of hire.
• Pediatric Abusive Head Trauma training.
• Valid HIV/AIDS Course.

Responsibilities

• Provide pre-hospital treatment and transport for sick/injured persons of all ages.
• Operate ambulance and liaise with dispatch, clients, families, and allied professionals.
• Maintain ambulance quarters and equipment; attend department meetings and training.
• Perform advanced life support procedures including IV cannulation and drug administration.
• Accurately document and log all ambulance runs.

Responsible for but not limited to driving an ambulance, liaising with the dispatch center, clients, families, and allied professionals, quarters and equipment, administrative and maintenance functions attending department meetings and training. Responsible for the proper cleaning, supplying, and maintenance of ambulance and medical equipment. Use advanced life support procedures, including intravenous cannulation administration of drugs and intravenous fluids as well as proper documentation and recordkeeping of all ambulance runs.
