Job summary

Paycom is seeking an EMT-certified ambulance responder to provide pre-hospital care and transport for patients of all ages in Cadiz, KY, reporting to EMS Director. Responsibilities include on-scene care, ambulance operation, equipment maintenance, and coordination with dispatch and families.

The role requires Kentucky EMT certification, valid driver’s license, BLS with AED, and completion of NIMS/ICS within 60 days of hire; pediatric trauma experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide pre-hospital treatment and transport of ill/injured patients of all ages.
• Drive an ambulance and liaise with dispatch, clients, families, and professionals.
• Clean, stock, and maintain ambulance and equipment; attend meetings and training.

Job description

Responsible for the pre-hospital treatment and transport of the sick and/or injured persons of all age groups and transportation to and from medical treatment facilities. Responsible for but not limited to driving an ambulance, liaising with the dispatch center, clients, families, and allied professionals, quarters and equipment, administrative and maintenance functions attending department meetings and training. Responsible for the proper cleaning, supplying, and maintenance of ambulance and medical equipment. Use advanced life support procedures, including intravenous cannulation administration of drugs and intravenous fluids as well as proper documentation and recordkeeping of all ambulance runs.
