911 Emergency Communications is seeking Emergency Medical Dispatchers to support urgent medical calls from Lehr, ND. You will gather patient and incident data, establish priorities, and coordinate EMS resources as part of a structured dispatch protocol.

Responsibilities include providing protocol-based guidance, confirming locations, and relaying critical information to responders. Training and ongoing certification are required, with potential for overtime and shift variety.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or recognized equivalent is commonly required.
• CPR certification and additional coursework may be required.
• Emergency Medical Dispatcher certification before appointment may be required.

Responsibilities

• Receive calls involving illness, injury, and other medical emergencies
• Confirm the patient’s location, callback number, and access details
• Ask approved questions about the patient’s condition
• Determine response priority through the authorized medical dispatch system
• Dispatch or coordinate ambulance resources when included in the assignment
• Provide protocol-based instructions within current qualifications
• Relay patient information and scene hazards to responding personnel
• Document call processing and participate in quality-review activities
