Job summary

911 Emergency Communications is seeking Emergency Medical Dispatchers for Basin, MT. You will handle medical calls, gather location, priority, and coordinate EMS resources according to approved protocols. Required are a high school diploma or equivalent; CPR certification; and EMD training or eligibility.

Training sponsorship may be available; EMT/paramedic credentials are not universally required. Shift work, nights, weekends, and overtime are common in this role.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or recognized equivalent is commonly required.
• CPR certification and additional coursework may be required.

Responsibilities

• Receive calls involving illness, injury, and other medical emergencies
• Confirm the patient's location, callback number, and access details
• Ask approved questions about the patient's condition
• Determine response priority through the authorized medical dispatch system
• Dispatch or coordinate ambulance resources when included in the assignment
• Provide protocol-based instructions within current qualifications
• Relay patient information and scene hazards to responding personnel
• Document call processing and participate in quality-review activities
