The role involves assisting with nursing care under supervision, ECG interpretation, IV therapy, airway management, and adherence to ED protocols.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an approved EMT-P program.
• Current Paramedic Certification in South Carolina.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required on hire; ACLS and PALS within 90 days; PHTLS within 6 months of hire.
• Paramedic certification by NREMT is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with implementation of supportive nursing care under RN and Medical Director guidance.
• Provide patient care within defined scope, including data collection and reporting to RN/ED Medical Director.
• Perform ECG interpretation, IV therapy, airway patency, and initiation of protocol orders in the ED.
• Collaborate with RNs and Medical Providers to treat adult and trauma patients.
• Demonstrate service excellence at all times.
