  • Strong communication, coordination, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to learn new systems, processes, and operational roles quickly.
  • Ability to contribute as part of a small, mission-focused team.
Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in emergency management, public administration, or related field.
  • Four years of professional work experience in emergency management
  • Alternative combinations of education and experience may be considered on a case‑by‑case basis.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Knowledge of emergency management principles and practices.
  • Knowledge of the principles and practices of emergency management, including the National Incident Management System (NIMS) and the Incident Command System (ICS) .
  • Ability to utilize a variety of technology platforms such as Microsoft Teams, Word, PowerPoint, Zoom, etc.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with diverse audiences.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Requirements:
  • Conditions of employment: Must successfully pass background and driving records checks.
