Job summary

ICF International is offering a 10-week summer internship in Emergency and Disaster Management. The program rotates under Preparedness and Insurance, Emergency and Disaster Operations, and Disaster Recovery, with exposure to planning, operations and recovery tasks.

The internship runs 10 weeks, starting in early June and ending in early August, with a hybrid option in Baton Rouge, LA or Tallahassee, FL, or remote from anywhere in the U.S. Relocation or housing support is not provided.

Qualifications

• By start date at least 30 credit hours in emergency management, homeland security, public administration, political science, public health or a related field
• U.S. Citizenship is required per Federal contracts

Responsibilities

• Rotate through Preparedness and Insurance, Emergency and Disaster Operations, and Disaster Recovery.
• Assist with emergency operations planning, hazard assessments and exercise design.
• Support FEMA Public Assistance, damage assessment documentation and cost recovery processes.
• Learn through hands-on exposure with incident management practices and situation reports.
