Job summary
The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) in the Safety and Security Division seeks an Emergency Preparedness and Drone Program Lead to develop, plan, coordinate and evaluate DDOT's emergency preparedness events and functions. The role also provides drone support and serves as lead NIMS/ICS trainer.

Qualifications
- Must have at least one year of specialized experience or a four-year degree from an accredited institution.
- Preferred: five+ years of related experience in emergency preparedness and drone operations.
- Demonstrated expertise in drone operations, emergency planning and policy development.
- Ability to communicate clearly, both orally and in writing, with diverse stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Make commitments on behalf of the District based on federal and local guidelines.
- Coordinate and evaluate emergency preparedness events and functions.
- Provide operational hands-on support and policy guidance.
- Lead training for NIMS/ICS and supervise drone program activities.
- Work with management and unions to plan and execute emergency response plans.
