Job summary

State of Missouri's MoDOT is seeking an on-call Emergency Maintenance Equipment Operator at the Linn Maintenance Facility. The role supports snow removal operations and weather-response duties under direct supervision, with hours varying based on events.

Qualified applicants will hold a CDL (Class A or B) with no air brake restrictions and interstate status, be at least 18 years old, and pass a criminal background check and drug screen.

• Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or B with no air brake restrictions and interstate status (either Excepted Interstate [EI] or Non-Excepted Interstate [NI]).
• Successful completion of a criminal background check and drug screen.

• Operates vehicles to plow snow and spread ice control materials or to warn oncoming traffic. Cleans and performs routine maintenance on vehicles, equipment, buildings and grounds. Performs other responsibilities as required or assigned.

Job description

This is an on-call position - hours will vary depending on weather events. This position is eligible for a temporary emergency operations adjustment of $3 per hour when handling winter/emergency operations activities.

Job Location: Linn Maintenance Facility

Emergency Wage Rates

• 1st Season: $20.00 hourly
• 2nd and 3rd Season: $21.11 hourly
• 4th Season or more: $22.37 hourly
