Position Overview

As an Emergency Veterinary Technician, you'll thrive in a fast-paced environment, handling diverse cases and adapting quickly to new challenges. The role involves:

• Organizing rounds, discussing cases, and gathering information
• Evaluating and prioritizing incoming patients
• Partnering with the care team on treatment plans and client communications
• Providing client education on home care, medications, and wellness updates
• Assisting DVMs with assessments, treatments, and procedures
• Monitoring and caring for hospitalized patients
• Inducing and monitoring anesthesia and sedation
• Performing laboratory tests and sample preparations

Qualifications

• State Registered Veterinary Technician license preferred
• Prior veterinary experience required; emergency experience is a plus
• Proficient in calculations related to drugs, infusions, and conversions
• Flexible with work hours and able to work additional hours as needed
• Efficient in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication skills
