DuPage County's Emergency Telephone System Board is seeking an experienced IT technician in Wheaton, IL to provide daily support and maintenance for a small team. The role involves networking, system infrastructure, and end-user support in a 24/7 environment, with an on-call schedule rotating monthly.

You'll work with enterprise-level applications, participate in cross-training opportunities, and enjoy a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, pension, and paid leave.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in IT operations, support, or administration.

Responsibilities

• Provides technical support for hardware and software issues for end users.
• Manages configuration and operations of client and server-based operating systems.
• Monitors the system and responds to security or usability concerns.
• Responds to and resolves help desk requests.
• Assesses and updates systems and processes for enhanced functionality and security.
• Manages test and production systems.
• Implements and manages software and system upgrades, updates and patches.
• Communicates with vendors to troubleshoot and assist with system issues as necessary.
• Administers infrastructure, including firewalls, network applications, software and hardware.
