Job summary

Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialists- NASA Parkway is seeking a Part Time Emergency/ICU Veterinary Technician in Webster, TX. Licensed or experienced technicians earn $22-$30/hr, with +$3/hr weekend differential. Schedule includes 1-2 12‑hour shifts; days TBD, 7:00am–8:00pm.

Qualifications

Licensed Veterinary Technician with at least 2 years of experience.
Prior Emergency and Critical Care exposure preferred.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Fluent English (spoken and read) required.

Responsibilities

Provide high‑quality care to hospitalized and emergency patients.
Assist veterinarians with exams, diagnostics, treatments and procedures.
Perform technical tasks: restraint, venipuncture, catheter placement, radiographs, lab work, meds.
Prepare and administer treatments per orders and protocols.
Collaborate across departments for coordinated patient care.
Respond quickly to STAT calls and follow emergency protocols.
Create treatment estimates and manage admissions/discharges.
Communicate with clients clearly and empathetically.
Participate in meetings, trainings, and maintain hospital cleanliness and safety.
Assist with anesthesia and sedation following protocols.
