Fort HealthCare is seeking a Health Unit Coordinator to join the Emergency Services team in Fort Atkinson, WI. This part-time, on-site role involves coordinating patient care flows, maintaining records, and facilitating communications across care teams during shifts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to communicate professionally with care team, patients and families.
• Excellent interpersonal and time-management skills.
• Able to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
• Must have keyboarding/data entry skills and familiarity with medical terminology.
• BLS Certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serves as a link between patients, staff, providers and nursing teams.
• Updates medical records and documents patient information with care team.
• Performs clerical duties for department needs.
• Orders and monitors supplies and assists with inventory.
• Maintains patient records and supports admissions, transfers, and discharges.
• Answers phones and facilitates communication between units.
