Job summary

JBS is seeking a 1st shift EMT/Paramedic/LPN/RN to respond to medical emergencies on company property in Ottumwa, IA. The role includes first aid, medication dispensing, hazardous material disposal, and audiometric testing.

You will help with hearing conservation, maintain OSHA records, and coordinate with supervisors on health matters. Required licenses and a high school diploma are needed, plus 1 year of emergency/occupational health experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• State-issued EMT/LPN/RN license required.
• 1 year of emergency department or occupational health experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Respond to medical emergencies on company property and provide first aid.
• Advise on further medical treatment and dispense non-prescription meds.
• Maintain medical supplies and OSHA records; perform audiometric testing.
• Support hearing conservation program and ensure protective equipment use.
• Prepare accident reports and review physician and workers' comp records.
