Your Role:

• Deliver urgent surgical care to patients presenting with acute conditions such as appendicitis, cholecystitis, pancreatitis, bowel obstruction, trauma, and more.
• Work closely with a multidisciplinary team including anesthesiologists, emergency physicians, APPs, and nurses to deliver timely and coordinated care.
• Utilize both open and minimally invasive techniques across a broad range of complex surgical conditions.
• Participate in quality and safety initiatives aligned with RRH’s system goals and shared values.
• Support the development of the upcoming General Surgery Residency by engaging in education and mentorship of residents and medical students.
• Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to the academic growth of the department through teaching and collaboration.

What You Bring:

1. Board Certified in General Surgery
2. Fellowship training and minimum 3 years of independent Emergency General Surgery experience in a hospital setting required.
3. NYS Medical License (or eligibility)
4. Demonstrated expertise in managing complex surgical emergencies
5. Passion for patient-centered, team-based care
6. Strong communication skills and clinical judgment under pressure
7. Commitment to education and professional growth
