Northfield Veterinary Center in New Jersey seeks an Emergency/General Practice Veterinarian to provide a blend of emergency and primary care on a rotating three 12‑hour shift schedule. You will diagnose and treat diverse cases, stabilize critical patients, and collaborate with a skilled team.

Qualifications

• DVM or equivalent veterinary degree with eligibility for state licensure.
• Rotating internship or ER experience preferred or equivalent clinical experience.
• Excellent communication with clients and team; collaborative mindset.

Responsibilities

• Provide a mix of general practice and emergency care, seeing wellness, sick, urgent, and critical patients.
• Evaluate, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for urgent and emergent conditions.
• Provide comprehensive emergency care with triage, stabilization, and hospital care as needed.
• Perform emergency procedures and stabilize critically ill patients using evidence-based medicine.
• Work with veterinarians, technicians, and support teams for seamless care.
• Communicate clearly with pet owners during stressful situations.
• Contribute to a positive hospital culture with mentorship and learning.
