Job summary

Piedmont Eastside Emergency Department in Snellville, GA seeks an Emergency Dept Flow Coordinator and Registered Nurse to manage patient flow, coordinate with MDs, and oversee room turnover.

You will direct team priorities, liaise with Bed Control, and ensure timely dispositions while maintaining high standards of care.

Qualifications include GA RN licensure, BLS/ACLS/PALS, and ED experience; stroke knowledge and leadership skills are valued.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a nursing program.
• RN licensure in Georgia.
• 1 year ED RN experience.
• BCLS, ACLS, PALS required; CEN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct all team members regarding prioritization and patient flow.
• Single point person for MDs, minimize interruptions and facilitate communication.
• Coordinate with Bed Control on patient placement and admissions.
• Monitor room availability and turnover.
• Coordinate orders, collections and procedures with care teams.
• Notify MDs when disposition is ready and coordinate with other departments.
• Liaise with lab, imaging, pharmacy and consults to avoid delays.
• Coordinate admissions and transfers; track board and keep data current.
• Maintain ED Pods and ensure pod guidelines are followed.
• Assist with triaging EMS patients and prioritize arrivals.
